Lewis Press Ltd was established in 1949 by Mrs Ennua Pace and the late Mr. Emmanuel Pace (parents of current management team) and as a family-run printing press and over this period of fifty-six years the business has grown gradually, transforming itself from a small print-shop into one of the leading printing firms in Malta.
The company's growth was more pronounced during the last 2 decades which necessitated the business relocation to larger premises on two occasions. The following are the more important milestones:
- 1963: First Maltese company to export printed cartons
- 1965: Moved to larger premises in Paola (600 sq. m)
- 1986: Moved to Gudja premises (1,300 sq. m)
- 1997: 1st export of quality packing to Georgia
- 2002: Malta Enterprise approval of Hal-Far facility
- 2004: Commissioning of Hal-Far Facility
- 2005: Commissioning of Clean Room facility
- 2006: Quality Management System certified to ISO 9001:2000 & PS9000:2001
